Richmond Rest Stop Dedication 2006

In 2005, our Club donated $1,500 to the City of Richmond for building a Rest Stop on the bike trail at the crossing of Broadway Street in Richmond.  On Saturday, June 25, a dedication was made to the Club by the City of Richmond.  Cindy Walleck, Trustee, presented Sam and Rennie with a certificate of thanks and a plaque was placed on one of the benches at the rest stop.  Sam and Rennie cut the ribbon for the official opening.  Sam and Rennie presented Cindy with a plaque thanking the City for their efforts for promoting cycling.  A number of officials from Richmond and McHenry Counties were in attendance, as well as Charlene Wexler, Dave Jeffries and Geoff Mumford from MCBC.
